Matcha Became a Whole Culture. We're Bringing Ours to Atlanta.

PrettyMUCH is an official vendor at MatchaFest Atlanta 2026 · September 12 · Piedmont Park
There was a moment, somewhere in the last couple of years, when matcha stopped being a drink you ordered and started being a thing you were.
You know it when you see it. The whisk. The little ceramic bowl that lives on the counter, not in the cabinet. The specific café. The specific order. The friend who says “I don't drink coffee anymore” in a tone that makes it clear something larger has shifted. Matcha didn't just get popular — it turned into a full identity, complete with a look, a routine, and a set of opinions.
We built a whole personality around her. Her name is Matcha Girl, and on September 12, we're bringing her to Piedmont Park in Atlanta, GA.
This Isn't a Trend Anymore
Here's how far it's gone. The global matcha market is worth somewhere north of $4 billion in 2026, and it's growing at roughly 8–12% a year depending on who's counting. The US is now the second-largest matcha market in the world, behind only Japan. Demand for organic matcha alone jumped more than 21% year over year. Prices for raw matcha have climbed so high that Japanese producers can't keep up, and cafés that built their entire business on coffee are quietly rebuilding their menus around a green tea powder.
Numbers like that don't come from a TikTok trend. They come from a genuine cultural shift — one where people started choosing the drink that comes with a ritual attached.
That's the part that interests us. Matcha's whole appeal is that it isn't fast. You have to sift it, whisk it, pay attention to it. It asks for ninety seconds of your morning that nothing else is asking for. And the people who fell in love with it didn't fall in love with caffeine — they fell in love with having a small, beautiful thing that belongs entirely to them before the day starts.
Matcha Girl, Explained
PrettyMUCH is built on a simple idea: you're not buying a tote bag, you're picking a personality.
Matcha Girl is one of ours. She's the one who romanticizes ordinary life — not because she does more, but because she knows what belongs. Mornings on her terms. A journal she actually writes in. Pilates. Farmers market Saturdays. A café she'd defend in an argument. There's real discipline under all that softness, which is exactly what people miss about her.
She's soft, but she's not passive. She makes wellness look like an art form.
If you've ever recognized yourself in that description, you already know why we said yes to this festival.
What MatchaFest Atlanta Actually Is
MatchaFest is a one-day matcha and wellness festival touring the country this year. The Chicago stop sold out. Atlanta is next, taking over Piedmont Park on Saturday, September 12.
The day runs like this:
- 11:00 AM — VIP early entry, welcome drops, first access to limited items
- 12:00 PM — General admission opens, vendor marketplace and tastings
- 1:00 PM — Matcha tasting flights and creator meetups
- 3:00 PM — Wellness activations, demos, and brand-led experiences
- 5:00 PM — Final pours and closing photo moments
Thousands of people move through these events, and the vendor lineup is curated rather than open-call. That's a big part of why we applied. Everyone in that marketplace is there because they belong to the same world.
Tickets start around $15 with upgraded passes available, live now at matchafest.com.
What We're Bringing
The Matcha Girl crop tee — debuting here first. Our first piece of apparel ever, and we didn't rush it. Comfort Colors garment-dyed boxy crop: 100% cotton, pre-shrunk, soft in the way only garment-dyed cotton gets. The front reads literally just a matcha girl, in a two-color print — maroon block caps with “matcha” dropped in as green script. Atlanta gets it before the website does.
Handmade bag charms. Beaded, one-of-one, strung by hand.
Patches, pins, and ready-to-ship totes. The whole Matcha Girl world on à la carte trays, so you can build a bag that looks like you. Plus finished totes we've already tricked out, ready to walk away with.
Pre-made kits. For everyone who loves customizing but doesn't want to make decisions in a park in September. Grab a kit, take it home, do the fun part on your couch.
Why We Wanted This One
At a festival where thousands of people are showing up for the same green drink, we will, too!
That's the whole reason we applied. Matcha becoming a cultural moment means there's finally a room full of people who share a specific, particular way of moving through the world — and we made things for exactly that person, long before we had anywhere to bring them.
